Space Case Interior Design is a full-service interior design firm specializing in contemporary, family, pet, and earth-friendly design and is dedicated to bringing joy to the lives of people through the transformation of their interior spaces. We are proud to operate as a mother and daughter team—Kamaren specializes as an interior decorator here in Palos Verdes and mother, Sharon, in design and build services offered through Sharon Designs Inc.
Space Case principal interior designer, Kamaren Henson, is known for her ability to understand what her clients want and bring the vision to fruition. As California and South Bay native, she was immersed in beauty, art, and design while growing up in a design and build family. In her youth, Kamaren enjoyed working in her mother’s small design firm and later studied Art History and Antiques Appraisal at California State University Long Beach earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999. Kamaren’s experience includes years of managing a large boutique furniture store as well as providing interior design services to its patrons, prior to that she spent six years as a gallery director and construction project manager for notable locations in Beverly Hills and Culver City where she facilitated the building-out new spaces such as restaurants and galleries and personally managed and curated large celebrity hosted art events. Many of these events were featured in magazines such as Variety Magazine, OK!, Angeleno, Hollywood Reporter, and more. In 2009 nuzzling back into her roots she launched SpaceCase Interior Design to offer an interior decorator serving the Palos Verdes area with space planning and more with unmatched quality.
Community and Personal Interests
Kamaren endeavors to be mindful of the arts, the earth and beautiful traditions. Some of these endeavors include being an executive board member of the Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation in 2009-2012 where she was responsible for the design of the galas which aided in funding the roster of local arts entertainment for the City. She was a board member of the Culver City Downtown Business Association during part of its redevelopment stage and is a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance.
Sharon Goddard, Design and Build Contractor
Sharon Goddard, founder of Sharon Designs Inc, majored in fine art and design at Woodbury University in Burbank, CA. After college, she spent years as a mural painter and master wallpaper hanger before moving into interior design. Within a few years of managing design projects she realized that her passion was focused on the design and building out of beautiful and functional spaces. She studied for and received her contractor’s license over 15 years ago and was one of the first female general contractors to work in the South Bay. Since then she has built numerous structures for both residential and business sectors and contributes majorly to Space Case’s interior decorating services to help Palos Verdes area residents achieve their design goals.
