Before & After Kitchen Remodel, Manhattan Beach, CA
We are so excited to share our most recent Before & After Kitchen Remodel–an updated Cape Cod design in Manhattan Beach, CA. This project is located in the coveted “trees” section of Manhattan and just look how it turned out!
We demolished the tall pony wall that divided the kitchen from the dining room area and in doing so we opened up a site line to create much more space.
Another huge improvement was the removal of a beam. The homeowners had lived with it for years under the impression that it was structural, however after a little investigation, we learned that it was not load bearing and so out it came. A huge visual improvement is seen in the Before & After Kitchen Remodel photos.
Along with luxurious new white oak flooring, new paint and installation of wainscot paneling, we also designed and built a new custom island and extended the main wall of kitchen cupboards into the bay window. A perfect place for a gorgeous farmhouse sink!
Sticking to my favorite rule of kitchen design, we brought in the light! We added recessed cans over the functional sink areas, under cabinet lights were added to enhance the glow of the white Italian marble, pendants from Visual Comfort are for eye candy and ambiance over the island and finally, we custom designed a gorgeous hexagon art glass window for a steam of natural light and magic!
